Inside a space

SWIPE THROUGH EVERY SURFACE.

A private board, a members-only chat, invites and permissions, public or private events with RSVPs, photo-bubble map pins and one shared calendar.

Private board

A bulletin board only members can read

Your organization gets its own board, separate from the public Local Board. Posts and threads stay findable, and organizers can pin what everyone must read.

Private board

TWO SURFACES, SO NOTHING GETS BURIED.

Most group tools force you to choose between a noisy chat where announcements vanish and a static page nobody opens. A BRUH organization gives you both at once: a bulletin board where posts stay findable, and a members-only chat for everything else.

Organizers can pin announcements, remove posts that don't belong, manage roles, revoke invites and cancel events. Members can post, reply, RSVP and leave whenever they want.

  • A dedicated bulletin board, kept separate from the public Local Board.
  • Pinned organizer announcements for the things everyone must read.
  • A separate members-only group chat for day-to-day conversation.

Exact venue details go to the host, invitees and RSVPs only.

Events & map pins

EVERY BOARD EVENT ALSO LANDS ON THE MAP.

Post an event from the organization board and BRUH creates the matching map pin in the same step, using the cover photo you picked — a round picture bubble instead of an anonymous dot.

Public events can be discovered by anyone; members-only events never appear on the public map. Either way, discovery shows an approximate area only.

  • Choose public or members-only visibility per event.
  • Collect RSVPs in the app, with a live head count for organizers.
  • Link related meetups — the weekly park hang and the one-off celebration.

A real use case

FROM DOG-PARK HELLOS TO A PRIVATE PUP BIRTHDAY.

The morning regulars at one park turned into a club with a board, a chat and a calendar — without anyone swapping a phone number.

A dog waiting on the grass at the neighborhood park where the club meets each morning

A small birthday setup with hats and decorations ready in a backyard

Turn the regulars into a space

Create a private organization for the park crew. The board, chat, member list and event details are members-only from the first minute.

Invite by link, revoke any time

Hand out one revocable invite link at the park. No phone numbers change hands, and an organizer approves join requests for public spaces.

Post the pup birthday as an event

Scope it to members, pick a cover photo, collect RSVPs. It appears on the organization board and as a picture pin the public never sees.

Keep the address for attendees

The yard with the pool is released to the host, invitees and confirmed RSVPs only — everyone else sees an approximate neighborhood area.

It lands on everyone's calendar

Each member's unified calendar picks it up. Export .ics, import an existing calendar, or add that one event to Google, Outlook or Apple.

You pick the park or the yard yourselves — BRUH organizes the space, the invites and the RSVPs, and doesn't rent or book venues for you.

Privacy & safety

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT, NOT BY SETTING.

A private space is invisible from the outside in: non-members cannot read the board, the chat, the member list or internal event details. Access is enforced on the server for every read and write, not just hidden in the interface.

Approximate public location

Location sharing starts off. When a member turns it on, others see a randomized neighborhood-level pin with coarse distance ranges — never an exact coordinate or address.

Attendee-only venue details

The exact meeting spot for an event is released to the host, invitees and confirmed RSVPs. Members-only events never surface on the public map.

Free blocking, reporting & Scam Shield

Every member can block or report at no cost and run Scam Shield checks on suspicious messages. It's a pattern check, never a claim of verified identity or a background check.

Calendar integrations, described honestly

Every member gets one unified calendar at /calendar that merges organization events, community meetups and personal entries.

  • Export your whole calendar as a standard .ics file.
  • Import an existing .ics calendar you already keep.
  • Add any single event to Google, Outlook or Apple with a per-event link.
  • No automatic two-way sync — we won't claim a background sync we don't run.

Frequently asked

STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

If it isn't listed here, it probably isn't something BRUH does yet.

How much does a BRUH organization cost?
Nothing during the beta. The private board, members-only group chat, announcements, invite links, events, RSVPs and the shared calendar are all included at no cost — no credit card and no automatic billing. Founding organizations we invited and approved get 12 complimentary months under their founding-partner offer. For everyone else, any post-beta pricing will be published before charges begin, and your access will never auto-convert to a paid plan without you explicitly opting in.
What does a space actually give us?
A private bulletin board for posts and threads, a members-only group chat, pinned organizer announcements, revocable invite links, public or private events with RSVPs, and one shared calendar every member can export.
Who can see our board and chat?
Only members. A space is private by default: its bulletin board, group chat, member list and internal event details are visible to members only. Non-members see a locked page and can ask an organizer for an invite.
How do people join?
Organizers create an invite link, which is stored hashed and can be revoked at any time. Public spaces can also receive join requests that an organizer approves or declines.
Can events go on my own calendar?
Yes. Every member gets one unified calendar at /calendar that merges organization events, community meetups and personal entries. You can export it as .ics, import an existing .ics file, and add any single event to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Do members have to share their location?
No. Location sharing is off until a member turns it on, and even then other members only ever see an approximate, randomized neighborhood-level pin — never an exact coordinate or address. Scam Shield is available to every member for checking suspicious messages before meeting anyone.
Who can be in an organization?
Adults 18 and over, of any gender. BRUH is platonic: friendship, community and local plans, not dating.
