MAKE FRIENDS
IN LOS ANGELES

LA is a city of 10 million people and somehow nobody's free. BRUH fixes the logistics: one live map showing which people nearby actually want to hang out tonight.

Find Your Crew

Why making friends as an adult is so hard

School and sports hand you friends by default. Adult life doesn't. Work friendships stay at work, group chats go quiet, and everyone's schedule becomes a negotiation. In Los Angeles, distance adds a second problem — a friend in Silver Lake and a friend in Santa Monica are technically in the same city and practically in two different ones.

The missing piece isn't more people. It's knowing who is free, close, and up for something right now. That's the only thing BRUH is built to answer.

How BRUH works

Open the live map

See which people near you are free right now and what they're up to — a run at the beach, a lifting session, a food run in Koreatown.

Join a plan that already exists

The hardest part of adult friendship is being the organizer. On BRUH the plan is already posted. You tap join.

Talk like a normal person

Direct messages and group crews. Messaging is free and unlimited for every member.

Stay in control of your spot

Location sharing is off by default. Turn it on when you want to be found, off when you don't.

What members actually do on BRUH

Nothing exotic. Lifting sessions and gym partners, pickup basketball and soccer, hikes at Griffith and Runyon, taco runs and late-night food, gaming nights, surf and skate, watch parties for fight nights and playoff games, and new-in-town members who just need a first crew. If it's a plan you'd text a friend about, it belongs on the map.

Whether you call someone a bro, brother, bestie, or friend, BRUH is for adults of every gender looking for real, platonic connection. People here want to make new bro friends, find a brother-like friendship or just have someone to text about a Sunday hike — all of it platonic, all genders, adults 18 and over only.

The Los Angeles beta

BRUH is launching in LA first, on purpose — one city, dense enough that nearby actually means nearby. Founding members who join during the beta keep discounted pricing for life and get a badge on their profile. Grab a Founding Member spot or create a free account.

Questions

Is BRUH only for bros or brothers?

No. BRUH is an all-gender social app for adults 18+. BRUH isn't a gender — it's a vibe. Women, men, nonbinary people, LGBTQ+ people, newcomers, locals, introverts and extroverts are all welcome, and it is platonic only: no swiping and no dating pressure.

How do you make friends as an adult in Los Angeles?

You need two things: people nearby who are also open to hanging out, and a plan that already exists so nobody has to organize it. BRUH puts both on one live map — you see who's free near you and join something that's already happening.

Is BRUH a dating app?

No. BRUH is for friendships and hangouts — gym sessions, food runs, gaming nights, pickup games, surf trips. No swiping, no matches, no romance.

Which parts of LA is the beta live in?

The beta is open across Los Angeles County. Discovery works by distance from where you are, so it's most useful in denser neighborhoods right now — the Westside, Downtown, the Valley, and the South Bay.

Do I have to share my location?

Location sharing is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Incognito Mode hides you entirely while you browse.

Does it cost anything?

No. Free accounts get the map, discovery, the full Local Board and unlimited messaging. BRUH+ adds incognito mode, who viewed you, extra photos and more.
