Legal
Last updated: August 29, 2026 — Version 2.2
These Terms are an agreement between you and BRUH Friend Finder (“BRUH”, “HeyBruh”, “we”, “us”) covering heybruh.app and the BRUH Friend Finder app. By creating an account or using BRUH, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use BRUH. BRUH is a platform for platonic friendship and community — it is not a dating or hookup service.
BRUH is for adults only: 18 years or older, of any gender. We verify eligibility using the date of birth you provide at sign-up, which is used solely to enforce the 18+ rule and is never shown to other members. If we determine that an account holder is under 18, the account is terminated. You must also be legally able to enter into a contract.
Tell us immediately at support@heybruh.app if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
Before posting, messaging, or joining a Room, you must accept the current versions of:
For each acceptance we store the document, its version, the date and time, and a one-way salted digest of the IP address the acceptance came from. We never store the raw IP address, and the digest cannot be reversed back into an address. Acceptances are recorded in our legal_acceptances records, readable only by you and by BRUH administrators.
If we update any of these documents, you will be asked to re-accept before you can continue using content, messaging and Room features. We never accept on your behalf. Re-acceptance never blocks reading BRUH, reporting or blocking a member, managing or cancelling a subscription, contacting support, reading these legal pages, or deleting your account.
BRUH prohibits, and will remove you for:
Violation of the CSAE standard results in an immediate permanent ban. Confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to law enforcement where required by law. See our Child Safety Standards.
You retain the rights to the content you post. You grant BRUH a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display your content in order to provide, secure and improve the service. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained for legal, safety or backup purposes and for content already shared with other members.
You may not post illegal content, content involving anyone under 18, or exploitative content. We use moderation tools and human review, we review reports members send us, and we may remove violating content or accounts. We cannot guarantee that every violation will be detected before someone reports it, and we do not monitor all content continuously.
Every profile, post, message, meetup and Room has a Report and a Block control.
When BRUH Rooms are enabled, a host can mute or remove a participant, prevent a removed participant from rejoining, end the room, and promote or remove a co-host. As a participant you can leave at any time, report the room, report a participant, block a member, mute audio locally, and turn your camera and microphone on or off.
BRUH does not record Rooms. See Privacy Policy §7 for what is and is not processed during a Room.
BRUH is free to use. BRUH+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Billing depends on where you subscribe: on the web through Stripe, on iOS through Apple In-App Purchase, and on Android through Google Play Billing. All three are connected through RevenueCat to a single BRUH+ entitlement, so your access follows you across devices.
You may delete your account at any time, as described in Privacy Policy §4 — inside the app, or from our public page at heybruh.app/delete-account. Deletion is permanent; we do not merely suspend accounts.
We may warn, limit, suspend or permanently terminate your account for violating these Terms or for creating risk to other members or to the service. After termination we retain only the limited data described in Privacy Policy §4. Sections on content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law survive termination.
BRUH is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not run criminal background checks, we do not verify members' statements, and we make no guarantee about the conduct of any member online or in person. You are responsible for your own interactions and your own safety. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BRUH is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of BRUH. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, except where local consumer law gives you additional rights.
