DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT

If you created a BRUH account in BRUH Friend Finder app, you can permanently delete your account and associated data here, even if you uninstalled the app. This page is the official web resource referenced in Google Play.

Delete your account here

Verify the phone number on the account with a one-time SMS code, then confirm. Deletion is permanent — it is not a suspension or a freeze.

We use the same one-time SMS code as signing in, so only the person holding the phone can delete the account. Message rates may apply.

Or delete inside the app

  • Open BRUH and sign in.
  • Go to Settings → Sign-in & account.
  • Under “Danger zone”, tap Delete account.
  • Read the confirmation, then tap “Yes, delete everything”.

Your profile leaves discovery immediately. Signed in already? You can also open the delete-account screen directly.

No phone access? Email us

Or email privacy@heybruh.app with subject Delete Account from your account email/phone. We will delete within 30 days per Privacy Policy §4. We do not just suspend accounts.

What gets deleted

A completed deletion request removes or de-identifies the following within 30 days:

  • Your profile: display name, bio, interests, age range, status and gender-identity choice.
  • Your photos and videos, including avatar, gallery and Local Board images.
  • Your precise and approximate location history and discovery preferences.
  • Messages you sent, and your participation in conversations.
  • Your Local Board posts.
  • Device and diagnostic logs tied to your account.

What we must keep, and for how long

  • Hashed identifiers connected to banned accounts, abuse reports and moderation decisions — up to 3 years, to prevent re-registration and to meet safety and child-safety obligations.
  • Transaction and tax records held by Stripe, Apple and Google — up to 7 years where tax and accounting law requires it.
  • De-identified crash logs — up to 90 days.

Retained data is isolated, access-controlled, and deleted at the end of the applicable period.

BRUH+ subscriptions

Deleting your account immediately cancels any BRUH+ subscription billed through our web payment processor (Stripe). If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google controls that billing: you must cancel it yourself in App Store → Subscriptions or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account, and we cannot cancel an Apple or Google subscription on your behalf.
