SCAM SHIELD
Got a message that feels off? Inside BRUH, Scam Shield takes a pasted text, email or “job offer” and explains the specific red flags it matches, the likely scam type, and what to actually do next. Try 2 checks free with a BRUH account. BRUH+ required after that.
This page is an explainer, not the checker. Analysis runs inside the app: 2 free checks with a BRUH account, then BRUH+.

What it looks for
- Pay promises: “$200–$600 daily for simple tasks”, guaranteed returns, salary before an interview.
- Free-mailbox impersonation: a “recruiter” from a huge company writing from Gmail or Outlook.
- Lookalike and throwaway domains in links, read as text only — never opened or previewed.
- Manufactured urgency: final notices, 24-hour deadlines, accounts about to be suspended.
- Requests for sensitive things: verification codes, gift cards, deposits, ID photos, wallet addresses.
How it handles your message
The check is a fixed, transparent list of documented scam patterns, and it runs on your own device. What you paste is never uploaded, saved, logged or sent to analytics, and no AI is involved.
It never opens, fetches or previews links — it only reads them as text. And it is a pattern check, never a verdict: a low reading is not a clearance, and it cannot confirm who really sent something.
Free things you can use right now
Scam Shield needs a BRUH account (2 free checks, then BRUH+), but our 12 free tools need no account at all — including the printable meetup safety checklist.
Members: open Scam Shield from your profile once you are signed in. Your first 2 checks are free; BRUH+ keeps them unlimited.
