Los Angeles Beta · 18+
What BRUH does today
BRUH is a strictly platonic friendship and community app for adults 18 and over, in beta in Los Angeles. Everything in this first list works right now. Anything still in testing is marked coming soon and never promised.
Live now
Free for every member
Discovery, messaging and the Local Board are free — no card needed.
A profile that sounds like you
Photos, a short bio, your interests and “Looking for” badges so people know what kind of hangout you actually want. Strictly platonic — BRUH is not a dating app.
Approximate nearby discovery
Browse adults and communities near you on a map and in lists. Your pin is always placed in a randomized approximate area, distances show as coarse ranges, and you can hide your location entirely.
Unlimited messaging
Start as many conversations as you want and reply as much as you want. Messaging is free for every member.
The Local Board
A public board for your city: browse posts, post your own with photos, and reply. Free to read, post and reply.
Reporting and blocking on everything
Every profile, post, message and meetup has Report and Block. Blocking is two-way, and reporters are never revealed to the person they reported.
Scam Shield and Public Profile Check
Two free lifetime checks each to sanity-check a suspicious message or profile before you meet anyone.
Release status
Testing and upcoming features
Group spaces need deployed member-flow verification. Calling remains unavailable until physical-device checks pass.
Members-only boards, group chat, invitation links and organizer controls are undergoing release verification. Availability is not promised until the deployed member journey and access boundaries pass.
Pending verification
Organizer scheduling, saved RSVPs, cancellation and calendar file import/export passed signed-in preview checks on October 31, 2026. Production member access and phone calendar handoff still need release verification; this is not a live-availability promise.
Preview verified · live checks pending
We're finishing device testing for camera and microphone access before opening Rooms up.
Coming Soon
Calling is not available yet. We will not switch it on until camera and microphone access is verified on real devices.

Privacy and safety
Approximate by design
Your exact location, address and precise distance are never sent to anyone. Choose Hidden, Neighborhood or Wider area in Settings at any time.
BRUH does not run government-ID checks, biometric age estimation or background checks, so never assume another member has been verified. Read our Community Guidelines, 18+ & Safety and Child Safety Standards.
