BRUH Is Competing for the Peace Award: Turning Loneliness Into Real-World Belonging
By BRUH Team
BRUH was built around a simple truth: people do not just need another app. They need a way to feel seen, invited, and safe enough to show up.
Our mission is to help adults 18+ find their crew — especially people who feel isolated, new to a city, socially anxious, marginalized, or tired of walking into real-life spaces alone. BRUH is not about dating. It is about friendship, belonging, and having each other’s back.
Why the Peace Award
That is why the Peace Award matters to us. Peace is not only the absence of conflict. Peace is what happens when people feel less alone, when strangers become safer connections, and when communities have better tools to care for each other.
BRUH connects that mission through local boards, event posts, nearby discovery, messaging, video rooms, QR invites, safety prompts, community guidelines, and trust-focused features like Scam Shield concepts and ID Crawler concepts. The product is designed to help someone move from “Who’s going?” to “I found people I can go with.”
Where we honestly are
We are currently in beta in Los Angeles with 32 registered users pre-launch. We are still actively QA testing, debugging, and preparing Android launch readiness before the September 30 deadline connected to our current startup contest. That means we are being honest about our stage: we are not claiming to be fully scaled yet. We are focused on stability, safety, and proving the core loop responsibly.
The next milestone is clear: keep the essential features tight, fix the bugs that affect trust and onboarding, launch on Android, measure real engagement, and tell the story clearly — problem, solution, differentiation, and impact.
BRUH is competing for the Peace Award because our work is about more than software. It is about reducing isolation, creating safer pathways into real-life community, and helping people find the kind of crew that makes the world feel less heavy.
BRUH isn’t a gender. It’s a vibe. Find your crew.
